Procedure
1. Season + slice mushrooms.
2. In a large ziplock bag by add the sliced mushrooms and cornstarch. Toss the mushrooms to coat evenly.
3. Heat a large skillet to medium-high heat and add the vegetable oil.
4. Once heated, add the mushrooms in a single layer and cook on each side until completely brown on both sides.
5. Once the mushrooms are cooked, remove them and set them aside.
6. In a small mixing bowl combine soy sauce, brown sugar, water, ginger, and garlic. Add the sauce to the pan and bring to a boil.
7. Add the mushrooms and chopped peppers to the sauce and allow the sauce to thicken for a couple of minutes. Toss with the chopped green onions and sprinkle with red pepper flakes.
8. Serve over rice or along with your favorite sides.
